Um, nothing special… Just the usual occasional (giddy) random babble/filler post from me. I finally got my Seirei no Moribito books!!! My good friend since high school came back home to Manila (from Michigan) for a vacation this month. Along with her, she brought the first Moribito book that I requested, even surprising me with the second book in the series! (thank you!!!) I didn’t even realize book 2 had been published already. ^^;
~ I’M SOOOO HAPPYYYYYY!
I can’t wait to read it! All the manga I’m reading would have to be on hold for a few days while I eagerly read the Moribito books. The cover and art are pretty well done (although I still prefer the character design from the animated series). The inside pages are very nice, with a nice touch of classy graphics and colors. I love it. Production I.G’s anime adaptation that aired in 2007 covered the first book. The second book picks up right after, when Balsa travels back to Kanbal (her hometown) to clear up her father’s and Jiguro’s name.
I’m so glad Scholastic/Arthur A. Levine books decided to have it translated into English and have it published outside Japan. I’m very much looking forward to the rest of the books in the Moribito series. I’ll definitely be posting a mini review of the books after finding the time to read them. ^_^
On another note, I stumbled upon a YuYu Hakusho (entitled Ghostfighter when it was shown in our local TV) gashapon in a toy store! My friend and I got a couple of each… I got Kurama and Hiei, while she got Yusuke and Kurama’s white kitsune form. Since I’m a fan of Kurama and she’s a fan of Hiei, we swapped items, so I got both Kurama toys! ~Hurray!
/end of babble
Kurama gashapon want \^3^/
please do a review for the books :). I’ve been tempted to buy it but the age bracket for the book was grade school so I didn’t took it for the last minute. Do you think it’s a worthy read?
Uh oh! Epic merch is epic!
Still hoping for an adaption of the other books. 😀
@ nogizaka: I was really surprised to find a Ghostfighter gashapon machine here! ^^
@ foomafoo: I sure will post mini-reviews after reading them! I’d say it’s a worthy read, but I like reading children’s literature so I might be biased. 😀
@ totali: Heya! Good to see ya around. I’m hoping for the same thing too. An anime adaptation by the same creative group for the entire Moribito book series would be so awesome!
I just recently started marathoning the anime. I must say, its pretty kick ass! And Balsa has got to have the most gorgeous pout-lips ever! mmmmmm
/fanboying
Anyways, I’ll be sure to check out the books when I’m done with the anime =3
@ Jesus159159159: Cool! Glad to hear you enjoyed watching SnM and that you’re now a fan! I’ll be posting a sort of review of the books sometime soon, do feel free to check it out. ^_^
