The first con that I went to last week was an anime con where there were lots of cosplayers too, but not as much as yesterday’s con since it was Cosplay Mania.

Anyway, I was better equipped this time since I brought my new digicam along. Hence, I had a ball snapping around for photos. I didn’t even know much of the characters but I took pictures anyway. xD Here are some of them…

Yesterday, I attended my first anime-related convention ever (pretty lame for someone who’s watched anime since she was a kid. Orz). I had the pleasure of meeting up with a few other fellow local anime bloggers for this event. A couple of my cousins came with me too. I think that’s what made it more fun than it could have been if I were by myself… Come to think of it, I don’t think I’d have attended if I were by myself. Heh. Anyway, I bought and got a few goodies out of the con.

Note that I merely had my camera phone on hand (my Canon IXUS got wrecked a few months back T_T) so the photos are kinda pathetic. ^^;;

And the goodie from Japan is… my new Toshokan Sensou cospa shirt! (Big thanks to usagijen and her officemate!) It’s the most expensive t-shirt that I ever bought, thus far (about 3300 yen all in all @_@) and the first imported item I bought from Japan. I got the shirt’s small size though it’s still too big for me, but I will do my best to figure out a way to wear this somewhere, somehow. xD

Just got back from WordCamp Philippines 2008. For this event, I met up once again with usagijen, and we met up with another fellow anime blogger, Zeroblade. We thought Mike was supposed to be there too, but he seemed to be MIA. The conference was a pretty cool experience. Matt Mullenweg was also there among the speakers. The talks were informative and the speakers were engaging. Aside from the bar-coded camper’s badge, we got this tote bag as a freebie, along with a mug and a WordPress logo sticker. We had a free lunch too (yay!). In fact I’m still too full from the Chinese lauriat we had for lunch (thanks ChowKing) that I’m pretty sure I won’t be eating any dinner today. ;P

WordCamp PhilippinesEdit:(08/13/2008.) Updated list of sponsors.

I initially heard about this WordCamp in Manila from the well-informed bunny, usagijen, and well, being the clueless spy that I am about these types of stuff, I only heard about the online registration from her yet again. ^_^; Anyway, knowing now that there’ll be a limit of 350 participants, I rushed to register and am now hoping that I would make the cut off *fingers crossed*.
