Yesterday, I attended my first anime-related convention ever (pretty lame for someone who’s watched anime since she was a kid. Orz). I had the pleasure of meeting up with a few other fellow local anime bloggers for this event. A couple of my cousins came with me too. I think that’s what made it more fun than it could have been if I were by myself… Come to think of it, I don’t think I’d have attended if I were by myself. Heh. Anyway, I bought and got a few goodies out of the con.
Note that I merely had my camera phone on hand (my Canon IXUS got wrecked a few months back T_T) so the photos are kinda pathetic. ^^;;
I’ve never seen a single episode of Sergeant Keroro but these stuffed toys looked so adorable! I would’ve bought the black one immediately if it were for sale. Unfortunately, it was just for display.
I know it’s not classified as an anime, but I also liked watching Avatar: The Last Airbender and these cosplayers looked pretty cool.
A solo shot of Miki!!!
She’s adorable. Miki is my next favorite to Temari. ^_^
I’m now very much tempted to buy a bunch of Shugo Chara keychains online to complete the set. My wallet would so hate me. xDDD
Miki joins Nagi and Maria (with Buzz Lightyear and Nemo) on my bedroom wall.
There were a whole bunch of other cosplayers too, but the photos we took are in my cousin’s digicam (I phail because I don’t have copies of it). The event was a nice experience. It was fun to try and guess the characters and which series they were from.^^
We were joking with each other that we should cosplay at least maybe even once in our lives. Lolz. I said I don’t think I have the guts to ever do it, unless maybe if I were in a foreign land where no one would recognize me ;P. But if I ever did cosplay (which is highly unlikely), I’d probably pick to cosplay a character with a simple and less complicated costume, like maybe Kirihara Misaki from Darker than Black (I just need a corporate pantsuit, which I have several of, and a handgun) or Sora from Natsu no Sora (just a white sundress and a hairclip). Haha, I know, I know… part of the fun of cosplaying is wearing the cool outfit. I guess cosplaying just isn’t my thing. xD
