Edit:(08/13/2008.) Updated list of sponsors.
I initially heard about this WordCamp in Manila from the well-informed bunny, usagijen, and well, being the clueless spy that I am about these types of stuff, I only heard about the online registration from her yet again. ^_^; Anyway, knowing now that there’ll be a limit of 350 participants, I rushed to register and am now hoping that I would make the cut off *fingers crossed*.
I’ve been blogging using WordPress for a little more than a year now and I’m hoping to learn more about this platform through this WordCamp. The last time I learned codes was when I was dabbling with HTML when I worked with FrontPage in making a fansite for a TV series I liked and a personal site about 4 years or so ago. I still remember a few codes from then which I use here in my blog. I tried to self-learn CSS too, but I just couldn’t keep up with it because work got all crazy. Aside from these tiny points, my programming skills are absolutely nil. Despite the fact that I’m not allowed to do some major tweakings in my WordPress stuff lest I upgrade, I still reckon it’d be nice to learn more about it which would at least make me more knowledgeable to better find my way around it. I think it’d be a very good learning and social experience. Oh, and have I mentioned Matt Mullenweg is coming? How cool is that? ^_^

Those who don’t blog but are interested in learning more about WordPress are also welcome to join, though I think a different process of registration applies. In addition, the awesome organizers even managed to provide pretty cool WordCamp T-shirts for sale that are now available for pre-order (it’s only PHP 400-450 too!). I am so ordering one, although I’m still in a dilemma whether I like the maroon or royal blue one better…
Here’s to hoping I make the cut off, and if I do, I hope to see you there too!
Yay! Glad to see you hop on board! π I just mentioned it in my reply to your comment in the blog, but I guess I’ll just say it again… that I might just be able to give you the TS shirt once I meet you up in WordCamp (if I don’t forget to bring it, that is) XD
@ usagijen: Haha, yeah. It’d be a great learning experience. I replied in your blog too, but I’ll reply here as well. Getting the TS shirt there would make it even more awesome! xD I’ll keep you posted if I made the quota. Thanks again! π
