Episode 15: “Dangerous Man. Maity’s Sweet Temptation!”
Summary: We meet Koizumi’s family again while at the dining table eating breakfast. They’re having Rice and miso soup for breakfast. Koizumi remembers the “rice-stuck-in-hair” comment by Otani previously. She blurts out that she doesn’t want to eat rice for breakfast. She says from now on, she wants bread instead. Her mom and brother are worried about her behavior again. In school, Koizumi meets Maity-sensei in the hallway. Maity asks her if she’s doing fine now. Koizumi wonders what he means. Maity tells her she bumped into him in the hallway while she was crying the previous day. Otani arrives, interrupts Maity and Koizumi. Otani is asks Koizumi if they could talk. Koizumi is not in the mood to talk. They start to argue being stopped only by Maity as the bell rang for start of classes.
Later, Koizumi is sitting in the cafeteria with Nobu and Chiharu. Koizumi tells them that she is giving up on liking Otani and is now focusing her energy to her “new love.” Maity appears in the cafeteria and Koizumi runs over to him. Nobu and Chiharu realize that the “new love” Koizumi meant was Maity-sensei. This makes Nobu angry telling Chiharu that Koizumi shouldn’t fall for a cold guy like that.
Meanwhile, Otani is in the classroom talking with Nakao and Suzuki. He tells them about the “forced kiss” Koizumi gave her the previous day. Suzuki comments that such “forced kiss” seems to happen to Otani quite a lot, referring to Seiko’s kiss earlier in the series. Nakao wonders how it happened. Otani replies he doesn’t know exactly but that he supposedly kissed Koizumi before when he had a fever. Nakao and Suzuki reprimands Otani for taking advantage of Koizumi. Otani retorts that he can’t remember the supposed kiss at all. Suzuki and Nakao comments “Koizumi is trying hard. She must really like him a lot.” Otani says Koizumi no longer likes him saying that she’s giving up. In one of the other classrooms, Koizumi just established a “Maity-sensei Fanclub” of which she is the club president.
Nobu is very much angry with Otani since Koizumi now likes Maity and says it’s all Otani’s fault. She says Nakao told her what Otani told Nakao and Suzuki earlier about the kiss incident. Nobu asks Otani to apologize to Koizumi saying that it might make her quit the Maity club. Otani waits for Koizumi to return to their classroom after the Maity club activity. Otani asks if he really did kiss her when he was sick. She tells him to drop the subject. Otani then apologizes. Koizumi asks what he’s apologizing for. Is he sorry for forgetting the kiss? Or is he saying sorry for not seeing her as a girl no matter what she does? Otani can’t answer this and looks confused on what to say next. Koizumi says it’s fine and that it doesn’t matter anymore. She says she’s done and that she’s sorry for bothering Otani for so long. She walks out the door. She was thinking that she was hoping that Otani would stop her. She then bumps into Maity in the hallway. Maity sees Koizumi all sad and asks what’s wrong. Koizumi bursts out crying. Maity puts his arm around her and comforts a crying Koizumi. Meanwhile, Otani then decides to go after Koizumi and opens the door. He sees them together outside the hallway.
The next day, Koizumi and club practice some Maity cheers. Otani learns from Nakao that their coach has a sprained hip and that Maity-sensei will be the substitute basketball coach for the meantime. This annoys Otani. Koizumi and the rest of the Maity club go to basketball practice to cheer for Maity-sensei. Maity introduces himself to the basketball club. Otani asks if he can even play basketball. Maity responds by stealing the ball Otani was holding and going on a one-on-one. Maity manages to shoot the ball without much effort. Maity says he played basketball all throughout highschool. Otani gets even more annoyed and challenges him to another one-on-one. Koizumi is confused who she would cheer for: Otani or Maity? After basketball practice, Nakao says Otani is probably sulking after losing to Maity-sensei as he couldn’t steal the ball from him even once. Nobu asks Koizumi to go talk to Otani since he’s probably depressed about the game and might even quit basketball club over this. Koizumi then looks around the school for Otani.
Meanwhile, we see Otani washing his face. Maity appears and asks him a few questions. He asks if Otani is the reason for Koizumi crying recently. Otani says it’e none of his business. Maity responds by saying girls get hurt easily and one needs to be gentle with them. Maity then says Koizumi probably likes Otani and he wonders how Otani feels about Koizumi. Otani replies again that it’s none of Maity’s business. Maity says maybe he will take Koizumi for himself and asks Otani if that’s okay with him. Otani replies “Do whatever you want! It’s not like I like Koizumi anyway!” Koizumi, who was looking for Otani, was now apparently standing behind Maity-sensei. She heard what Otani just said and she can’t believe she has been rejected by the same guy twice.

My Impression: There was a bunch of flashback scenes from the previous 2 episodes, so if you missed ep 13 and 14, you’d pretty much get the gist of what has been happening since. Things are getting more and more interesting between Otani and Koizumi especially with the appearance of Maity in the series. Poor Koizumi getting rejected by the same guy twice.
Nobu is mostly the one providing some comic relief for this episode, getting all freaked out and annoyed that Koizumi now likes Maity and is venting her anger at Otani and blaming him for this. That part where they learn Koizumi likes Maity now and then Nobu says “Mommy will not forgive you!” was quite funny. Even though she can be quite intrusive sometimes, it’s still nice to have a friend like her, going all out to look after Koizumi’s happiness.
Poor Otani feeling like the bad guy and being bullied by Nobu and everyone else. I can’t help but feel sympathetic for him as well since he really is concerned about Koizumi but is just also confused of his own feelings as well.
Anyway, it’s pretty much a good episode which opens an interesting turn of events in the next episodes to come. I can’t wait to see what happens next and what Otani is going to do with Maity intervening with the story. ^_^
Next episode: Koizumi is rejected by Otani yet again. Maity is now going after Koizumi! How will Otani react to this?
